Good Afternoon DSISD Community!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope this message finds you well. It is with great excitement and honor that we continue to serve our students and the DSISD community. Our staff is beyond excited to begin a new school year with your child! Your support helps us to provide the best possible learning environment for our students.

This year, we are digging into STEAM and focusing on the theme of “Space for All.” We will share in more detail what this means in the coming weeks, but are excited to show how we all can be a STEAM scholar from many different perspectives as we promote our values:

Our first day of school for ALL students will be Monday, August 19th, 2024. We understand that there might have been some communication to our CCD students indicating a different date. Please disregard that. The week of the 19th, will be an amazing week as we launch our PBL experience and dive into the relationships, systems, and classes that make DSISD a special place.

Below, please find some important links and dates that will aid in preparing for this sensational school year.

  • Back to School Family Barbecue- August 14, 2024, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm:
    • Please join us for our Back to School Family Barbecue! During this event, you will get to meet and greet our amazing DSISD Staff, receive your student’s schedule, select your PBL Intensive trip scheduled for Friday, August 23rd, eat some delicious food, and have fun! The barbecue will be held from 3pm to 6pm on the blacktop. Please use the Sign-up Genius, which will be available tomorrow on the website, to contribute to the event.
  • First Day of School
    • First day is August 19th for all students.
  • School Supply List
    • 4 boxes of Tissue
    • 4 One subject Notebook
    • 2 Reams of Printer Paper
    • 1 Box of Pencils
    • 1 Box of Pens
    • 2 One inch Binders

Individual teachers will let your student know at the barbecue of any class specific supplies.
