Course Offerings

DSISD provides ALL students access to “high-value” learning opportunities, such as:

  • Advanced Placement Coursework
  • Concurrent Enrollment-College Credit Classes, which may be taken on- site, CEC or the Auraria Campus,
  • STEM (Engineering, Computer Science) & Business Classes


  • AP- Advanced Placement. Program the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.
  • CCD-Community College of Denver
  • CEC- Career and Education Center (DPS Technical trades magnet program) Available to on or ahead-track 11th graders
  • Concurrent Enrollment- College credit high school classes through which students will earn college credit upon passing
  • Early College- Ability to earn an associate’s degree while in high school with one to two additional years at CCD or UCD, no tuition
  • ENG- English (CCD)
  • FLEX: Flexible scheduling to allow for acceleration, recuperation and electives
  • Internships- Available to on or ahead-track 11th graders
  • Social Entrepreneurship: Classes designed to teach business through the lens of social entrepreneurship, creating business and a mindset that generate solutions to societal and world problems
  • STEM: Science, Technology Engineering and Math- All Students have access to the high-value learning opportunities based on current and future work-force demands
